I love planning my yearly Bali Holidays and looking for new places and regions to explore. I love the unique rich cultural heritage this island offers with its exquisite temples and palaces, the friendly Balinese people and their love of dance and music.
In the past I have based myself at Legian and South Kuta, however this time I am going to try something a little different and stay at Ubud. Ubud is surrounded by scenic rice terraces, ancient temples, art and craft communities and small villages and is located in the centre of Bali.
Although Ubud offers alot of luxury, high end accommodation, I am going to choose one of the more budget style options that is also available in this region. This way, I can use this saved money towards picking up some amazing bargains at the very popular Ubud markets. I will also allocate time to visit the Monkey Forest.
Beachcomber Island Resort Fiji is a great island for young people looking for a fun & sociable island holiday. There is plenty of live night time music and entertainment and a host of activities offered on the island. During the day spend your time relaxing by the pool, or explore the marine life with some snorkelling or scuba diving, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, wind surfing and much more. On dry land try mini golf, turtle feeding or volleyball, just to name a few. One of the unique features of Beachcomber Island Resort is the barefoot bar, located on the b
each, where the sand stretches right up to the bar stools. This is where the famous beach parties are held.
There are a variety of accommodation styles to suit your style and budget, ranging from a private Bure on the beach to twin lodge rooms with private facilities or dormitory style accommodaton. If you are looking for Fiji Resorts that cater for people travelling on their own, with friends or with a partner, then look no further than Beachcomber. This party island is comfortable, casual, fun and relaxed!
Mana Island Fiji is located in the beautiful Mamanuca Islands, offering the ideal Fijian escape for both couples and families. This stunning resort offers a range of accommodation, including stand alone Bures to cater for everyone’s needs. Facilities at Mana Island include 6 different bars and restaurants, 2 large freshwater swimming pools, 2 tennis courts, spa, sauna, The Mana Day Spa and of course the popular Tu Vono Kids Club which caters for children aged 3 to 12 years of age. You won’t be bored on Mana Island with a range of activities to keep you occupied. Try snorkelling, scuba diving, basket weaving, grass skirt making, the list is endless. I have been selling Fiji Holidays for many years now and have no hesitation in recommending this resort.
Getting to Mana Island is easy. Arrange your flights into Nadi, then choose from a helicopter transfer, seaplane transfer or boat launch to the island. The cheapest option is the launch and it has approximately 3 departures to the island throughout the day.
Weddings are very popular on Mana Island. This romantic destination offers the choice of a seaside chapel wedding or intimate beachside wedding, with this gorgeous island as the backdrop. Your very own personal Wedding Coordinator can tailor the wedding to suit your individual needs or choose from one of the wedding packages that Mana Island offer that include a Choir and Fijian serenades, Minister, Wedding Coordinator, venue decoration, Marriage Licence Registration fee, traditional Fijian Warrior escort, Mana special wedding certificate, Bouquet and boutonniere and champagne for toasting.

I have travelled to Bali twice so will give you some insight into my Bali Holidays. On my first holiday to Bali I stayed at the Legian Beach Hotel and would highly recommend this resort. The rooms are lovely and have a really traditional Balinese feel about them. The resort features a lovely swimming pool and is situated right on the beach, where you can get cheap beach massages, your hair braided and buy cheap jewellery. The location of Legian is perfect as it is slightly quieter than Kuta, but still within walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and bars.
On my second holiday to Bali I stayed at the Ramada Bintang in Tuban. Tuban is located south of Kuta but still within walking distance of the shopping mall, restaurants of this region. Tuban is a much quieter area and I found it really nice to be able to escape the hustle and bustle of Kuta and retreat to my resort. The Ramada Bintang is a large resort with a nice swimming pool, swim up pool bar and restaurants. They also have theme night dinners which are a lot of fun. The rooms are comfortable and set amongst lush tropical gardens.
I would recommend on your holiday to Bali a visit to the markets at Ubud and the monkey farm, a white water rafting tour is good fun and Tanah Lot is not to be missed. This is absolutely spectacular. The resorts have tour desks where you will be able to book any day trips you choose to do. Eating out in Bali is very cheap. If you choose the right places, you can have a gourmet meal and drinks for not much more than AUD$10. One restaurant in Kuta that you must try is Poppies. The food is divine and offers a nice peaceful setting.
